  • Advanced/Adult lessons are £40 per hour, children & young people are £30 for 45 minutes.

  • Lessons can be arranged to take place in Coventry or at your home by negotiation. The first lesson will be tailored to discuss your particular interests, wishes and goals, and will introduce some essential principles.

  • I offer piano lessons from beginner to diploma level and teach classical, jazz and contemporary styles. I have been playing the piano for many years! I'm equally conversant with figured bass and chord symbols as I am playing by ear or with notation. My inspirations are Barenboim and Petrucciani, to name only two...

  • I also offer organ lessons to diploma level - at your church organ of choice or by arrangement at St. John the Baptist, Coventry.  I trained as an organ scholar at Downing College, Cambridge University. My principal teachers were Susan Walsh, David Wetherall and Peter Hurford and I adore Bach.

  • Additionally, I am available as a vocal/instrumental coach and accompanist to prepare pupils (of all ages and levels) for ABRSM exams, auditions and for other events. I have accompanied performers in solo and ensemble contexts for over 40 years.

  • I teach theory up to ABRSM Grade 8 and composition (GCSE, A Level, Degree). I taught Music in schools for 10 years and have 24 years experience of teaching Music in Higher Education (specialising in composition, performance and choral pedagogy). Here are some of my songs:

  • I am a choral tutor and consultant delivering workshops to choirs and singing groups of all ages. I have coached Two Apart (a cappella group), the Oxford Gargoyles, the Howling Wolves Chamber Choir, University of Wolverhampton Choir and Wellbeing Choir, North Cotswold Chamber Choir and the Oxford Festival of Voices choirs.
